Substitute Library Information Officer

The Järfälla library consists of libraries in Jakobsberg, Bas Barkarby, Kallhäll, and Viksjö. The position of substitute library information officer is primarily located at the Jakobsberg library, but work at other libraries may occur.

The libraries in Järfälla have a process-oriented organization focusing on program activities, communication and reception, media and digitization, innovation, and MIK. We always strive to keep the user in focus and often use service design as a method. Järfälla municipality has been a Finnish administrative area since 2018.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a creative and structured library information officer to join the process team for communication and reception. You will work closely with the team's coordinator for communication. The role includes working with both text and graphic production, primarily for digital formats and also printed materials.

• You will maintain and create content on the library's web platform in Arena Nova
• You will create content for posters and digital information screens at all libraries
• You will staff the libraries according to a schedule that includes evening and weekend work

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant university education in communication or library and information science
• Experience working with web publishing in Arena
• Experience working in InDesign and Photoshop
• Knowledge of graphic design
• Previous work in a library is an advantage

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
